The idea behind the Filey Fishtive Tree began in 2017 when a local resident went to Ullapool in Scotland and was inspired by their version.
Typically the Fishtive Tree takes 2 to 3 days to build, and can be anywhere between 25 and 30 feet high.
It is expected that the Christmas tree will be lit in the first weekend of December – with a special light switch-on, in which each year the tree helps to raise money for the local community.
As you approach the Fishtive Tree, prepare to be immersed in a world of festive wonder. The twinkling lights cast a warm glow, and the sea-themed decorations transport you to a coastal winter paradise.
Join us in celebrating Christmas with the Filey Fishtive Tree—a symbol of community, creativity, and the joy that comes with this magical time of year.
